In the eye of the beholder

Hubby left on his business trip last Tuesday and is having a wonderful time exploring Europe. I have to admit that I am a tad bit jealous that he spent the past few days walking the streets of Paris and is sleeping across the street from the Eiffel Tower but I know that I will be able to visit one day soon too.

Baby girl and I took hubby's absence as an opportunity to visit family. Baby girl was in heaven taking Grandma and Grandpa by hand and leading them around the house. I enjoyed the chance to relax on the couch and have someone else prepare the meals for a change.

So yes, hubby definitely wins in the exotic locale contest but I have to admit that visiting the newly opened Shangri La botanical gardens in Orange was pretty awesome. I strongly advise anyone heading east on I-10 to stop in Orange and check it out for themselves - you will be blown away! (http://www.shangrilagardens.org/)

I have driven by and it was pointed out by my dad a month ago. It was kind of sad to see the tops of the trees destroyed by the hurricane. Imagine what it could have been if not for Rita! I can't wait to actually go in and walk the paths one day.
